Designed to uplift, “Running” merges Poe’s powerful rap flow and delivery with an anthemic chorus from Fireboy.
LADIPOE started his career as a Nigerian Alté rapper, and has since worked with the likes of Tems, Teni, Falz, Crayon and Simi to name a few. His growth skyrocketed after the success of his recent single “Feeling” alongside singer Buju. The track broke records, accumulating over 80M streams, and its global impact contributed to a well-earned BET Awards Nomination for Best International Flow, which he narrowly missed out on to Little Simz. Building on this success, the Mavin Records signee is currently preparing an EP named Providence.
To pass the time until the project’s release, the rapper has unveiled “Running,” featuring Nigerian wonderboy Fireboy DML. With production driven by Andre Vibez, the song is instantly contagious, and reflects Poe’s musical DNA. Alternating between a feel-good chorus and poignant rap verses, the track promises an interesting EP.
